From 2005 to 2011, I was employed as the CAD/CAM Engineer for Clarks Vehicle Conversions.
My role integrated the company with in-house computer aided design, development and manufacture, utilising the Solidworks and Solidcam software packages to reduce development costs and increase quality.
I was involved in the development of a wide range of interior layouts for several high profile clients such as Network Rail and Balfour Beatty, bringing bespoke commercial vehicle interior layouts from basic sketches through to CAD models, CNC prototypes and the finished production vehicle in record time.
I also spearheaded a cost and weight reduction programme and re-developed components and systems where necessary to ensure vehicles exceeded Type Approval legislation.
My digital imaging skills were put to use creating overhead views of the various different interior layouts in Photoshop, and designing the logo for the On Demand water heating system.
